My 87 year old mother recently had extensive surgery to remove a cancerous kidney, gall bladder and adhesions.

During her hospitalization...she was convinced that they were holding church services in the hallways. She was also convinced that there were cracks in the floor....and people were reaching through those cracks...to pinch her toes. The nurses called it 'Sundown Syndrome'.

When she returned home....she was still convinced she was in a hospital in the next town....rather than the local one.

When returned home....all returned to normal...no more confusion.
