Hi Folks: Yes I do sit up all night writing letters and thinking of things to do and suggestions for the group. We can be a force. if we all work together and put a little effort forward. So here is my new year suggestion: In everyone of your towns or cities there must be a dominant business. It might be a large corporation like Carrier Corporation in Syracuse, NY.,a Woolworth corp head quarters in Watertown, NY or an auto parts supply dealer in Podunk Wyoming. Identify that buisness and write a letter asking for donations for reaserch. What will it cost you===about 32 cents and some time which you probable have plenty of. But you say I can not compose a letter no problem after the new year I will send to the list a form letter tha you can add a heading to What will it cost me you say a little more time . Chances of success maybe one in ten but we will not know until we try.. Where did I get this idea---From the American Diabetes Association. For two years in a row they have sent me 10 envelopes to address to my neighbors with a return envelope. Since this is the second year they must feel that the method is worth the effort and cost. It might be to personal for you to write to a neighbor so I picked on the business. You just do not know when you are going to click onto a responsive party who has a family member or friend with this disease. With her hand in my mouth my dentists secretary mentioined her mother in law had PD and would be happy to contribute. (No Mother-in-law jokes please or maybe its time for MIJ by our punsters in the group ) The subject of PD was rasied when she asked why i was moving slowly. If you do not have the ability or resources to write the letter, send me the information and I will write it on your behalf. Send the listserv a copy of your letter so we can all enjoy the project and feel good about ourselves. Also report any donations received. Well what do you think.
