Dear Milton, My mother, an R.N. who has been working in a nursing home for the past 16 years, has called Permax a "Shit drug." I have tried it twice, and both times I started off at an extremely low dose, then built up until I was taking 1 mg./day. When I got to that point is when I started having the same problems that you describe, i.e. trouble initiatiating movement. However, I also had difficulty speaking and sleeping as well. Although I did have some positive effects at lower doses, my neurologist claimed that only 1mg.+ was a theraputic dose. Maybe I would be better at a lower dose. Something to think about anyway.
