There's a good article in today's New York Times Magazine section called "How
Breast Cancer Became This Year's Hot Charity" by Lisa Belkin. It's very
interesting and informative and here's a pertinent quote, "...Similarly,
Parkinson's disease was recently shown to have a genetic link, and advocates
for that cause are hoping to use the resulting scientific excitement to
motivate corporate givers."
