                   SCHOOL OF ADVANCED STUDY

              Summer Palaeography Programme 1997

In June 1997 the School of Advanced Study, with the co-operation
of the University of London Library and Lambeth Palace Library,
will be organizing a series of one and two day courses in
palaeography and diplomatic. These intensive courses are designed
as "master classes" providing opportunities for study with
acknowledged experts in their respective fields.

The fees cover all documentary material necessary to complete the
courses as well as coffee, sandwich lunch and tea. A limited
number of bursaries is available for postgraduate students in
cases of financial hardship. Accommodation can be provided in a
University Hall of Residence at a moderate additional cost.

Early application is advisable. Places will be allocated on a
"first come, first served" basis.
