After her 4th 100mg capsule of amantadine (over 3 days), for worsening
tremor-dominant PD, Edith suffered severe nausea & lightheadedness that put
her to bed for 18 hours until it cleared. Stopped her 2 Eldepryl/day also
during that period. In spite of these adverse reactions, her tremor seemed
better for that brief period.
Now she's back on Eldepryl 5mg/day and restarted amantadine syrup; very
slowly increasing the dose.
We would appreciate advice from anyone with a similar experience on how to
achieve an effective dose of amantadine without repeating those side
effects.
