After several years of avoiding protein before the evening meal, Barbara
deveoped a fluid pocket under her left eye. Her internist - after ruling out
sinus problems and allergy, ran blood tests that led him to believe she was
suffering from a protein and vitamin deficiency. She has now started to
ingest protein at most meals and the fluid retention problem seems to have
completely dissappeared.

Second change: a few years ago Barbara was diagnosed with rheumatoid
arthritis and put on steroids. Her skin was easily bruised and there were
signs of sub cutaneous bleeding on her hands and arms. Even after she stopped
the steroids when she went into an arthritis remission a year ago, the
bruising continued. She switched from Parlodel to Permax in October, started
a multi vitamin about then, and started the protein as mentioned above. Now
the bruising has stopped!!!! Any ideas?
