Kenx is a list for users of Ke:nx software, which provides alternatives to keyboard access for Mac users with special needs. This is an unmoderated list for users of Ke:nx software. Ke:nx users include family of special needs people and also occupational therapists. Ke:nx facilitates alternatives to keyboard access to computers e.g. through the use of pressure activated switches, morse code and custom designed large template on-screen "keyboards" which are scanned by the software. Discussion topics include creating Ke:nx setups, switch hardware, single switch or dual switch auditory scanning, digitising sounds, screen icons for sight impaired users, client posture during switching.
