My mother has had PD for about 17 years and has had 2 pallidotomies on the
same side. Lately she has been complaining about an inability to get rid of
saliva and that it is thicker than usual. She says it is like a rubber band
when she tries to swallow it comes right back up and she finds it hard to
spit it out. Her Neurologist suggested oral balance which helps with dryness
but that doesn't seem to be the problem. Her primary care doctor suggested
robitusson cough medicine but again that doesn't seem to be the problem.

Has anyone else had these type of symptons?
