This reminds me of a scene from Monty Python's "Life of Brian". In it, Brian, trying to encourage the masses that worship him to think for themselves, addresses them: BRIAN: "You are all *different*!" CROWD (in perfect unison): "We are all different!" LONE MAN IN CROWD (forlornly): "I'm not." Thought it was kinda funny. :-) -- garyZ ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: PD, me 'n my Ph.D. Author: elizabeth leslie <[log in to unmask]> at INTERNET Date: 1/15/97 9:42 PM >Oooh. How exciting to see the subject of my (stalled) Ph.D emerge in >this list - see below. I'm working on Hannah Arendt's concept of >plurality, in her definition of which she says (in The Human Condition) >"We are all the same in that no one is the same as anyone who ever >lived, lives or will live" which is to say that our common humanity, our >human 'identity,' is constituted by our difference/s. >Beth Leslie >> Mary, >> >> "We are all different ... no two of us >> alike.! >> [log in to unmask] (Mary Manfredi)" > >> Right on!!!!!
