In New York Times MEDICAL SCIENCE section yesterday - Tuesday, Jan. 14, l997
- the following:

In work that sounds a little like scientific blasphemy, Medical researchers
have begun paying increasing attention to some beneficial effects of nicotine
that were first noticed in cigarette smokers.

Parkinsons was mentioned often. My question is - if PWP are taking Sinemet
(levadopa/carbidopa) is it OK to start chewing nicotine gum or to use the
patch? Most docs are in the dark in this regard. Does anyone here have
more information in regards the studies done and being done at some of the
prominent medical centres?
