Like Bernard , I am sad to hear of the frustration Donna Dorros has had in trying to find researchers interested in working with Sid's brain. Peter has made contact with the Brain Bank at McLean Hospital (affiliated with Harvard Medical School) and plans to contribute his brain there (later, of course!) and they sound like they have a good research program. We were referred to them by the NPF in Florida, and I wonder if Donna has explored that resource, since she writes for NPF's newsletter. Hard to understand the lack of interest she has encountered--especially as brain donation is encouraged....has anyone else had a similar experience? It sort of puts a damper on one's enthusiasm to arrange for this not-so-easy procedure!
