(SNS News Service - Shomron-Israel) Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Nasdaq: TEVIY) today announced it has received approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to manufacture and market Selegiline 5.0 mg tablets. Selegiline is a generic equivalent of Somerset's Eldepryl tablets, a drug for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. Other generic versions of this product have been introduced over the last several months. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., is Israel's largest pharmaceutical company, with three quarters of its sales outside Israel, mainly in the United States.
