Hello! My name is Ana Cristina Velasco. I subscribed to the list because my grandmother was diagnosed with PD 4 years ago. She is a stron-willed woman who lives alone, for she loves her independence, for 6 months here in Honduras and the rest of the time she travels and visits the rest of the family in Canada, Oregon and Ecuador. I was browsining the IRC the other day and found your pub. I think it's a great idea to keep in touch and chat for a while. I wish there was one for CP also for I am a single mother of a 4 year old with cerebral palsy. It is very stressfull emotionally to cope with both their problems, but I am surviving and I will for a very long time. I find that they both find one another in another realm, different to ours and hard to reach, and really comfort one another in their own way. They complement each other and when they are together they give each other love and understanding. Now it is my turn to understand a little more and be able to help and find help from others as all people should do.
