Stan,

I feel sure your PD cannot be advancing that quickly. The fact that it
coincides with your retirement cannot be a just a coincidence.
Do you keep a diary? Can you identify any change in eating, sleeping, or
exercise pattern other than the obvious change of having simply retired? I
cannot but help feel that is where the answer is more likely to be.

Above all don't despair, (easy to say harder to do) it puts you in a vicious
circle.

I retired 3 years ago and I went through a period of 2 months at home,
before my wife retired and joined me, where my deterioration seemed to be
accelerating on a daily basis. I too began to think about wheelchairs. It
really frightened me. However, it steadied out and then reversed back to a
much better level where I could walk for miles.

Tell yourself it is a temporary setback and that it WILL improve. No doubt
others will also offer advice and how THEY were affected.

Hang on in there,

Best wishes,

Ernie
