ADA stands for the Americans with Disabilities Act. It is federal law
requiring that U.S. citizens with disabilities are accomodated at public
facilities.
Thus, an "A.D.A. toilet seat" is one that is higher than the standard
toilet seats, which makes it easier to sit and rise on "the porcelain
throne". They are available at building supply stores like Home Depot,
Builders Square etc. You could also get them from home medical equipment
catalogs and stores.
