I don't know what to make of this.  What does it mean to say that on the web, popularity counts?  On the web, do scholarly standards erode . . . or morph into something different?

Yahoo! Canada,(http://www.yahoo.ca) the Canada's largest web site catalogue,  has chosen the Prince Edward Island, Department of Education's LESTER site as a Pick of the Week! Lester categorizes sites on the internet to make them both easier to find and to help Island educators add their own content.
