Provost's Information Technology Course Development Fund
                                Showcase

Thursday, Feb 20th, 1997
Centre for Academic Technology (Information Commons)
Robarts Library, 4th Floor
10:00 am - 3:00 pm
------------------------------------------------------------------------
In 1996/97, following the recommendation of the Task Force on Academic
Computing, Provost Adel Sedra, allocated funding from the Academic Priorities
Fund to support the development of course-related software and other
instructional tools. Available to all Divisions, this support is intended to
advance the use of information technology in the University's teaching programs.
Projects are funded on the basis of quality and impact, as well as the degree of
collaboration across Divisions. In 1996/97, 29 projects in seven divisions were
funded.

On Thursday, Feb 20th, The Centre for Academic Technology is holding a Showcase
where individuals who received support from the Fund can show their work. The
venue will be "poster session" style, with computers provided to each
participant where they can show their materials. Of course, many of the works
will be work in progress, but attendees will get a chance to see the materials
for themselves, and meet the developers personally. A booklet describing each
project will be available. Refreshments will be served.

We hope to see you there.
