Stan: I'm just generally a lurker here (caregiver for my mom), but I saw absolutely no reason (unless this person happened to be the woman you hit, and what ARE the odds!?) for you to have to explain yourself. I am glad you're alright, and that this woman and her little car (apparently quite a TOUGH little car!) made it through OK too. Hope you get some good news when you finally get there!
