Hello Germaine,

Welcome to the list.

I must admit I became quite annoyed when I read that Bill's doctor said he
was, "Happy with the results!"

YOUR DOCTOR DOES NOT HAVE THE PD!!!! It is YOU and BILL that have to be
happy with the results, not your doctor!!

I am not medically qualified, but I have done a great deal of reading up
since being diagnosed 3 years ago. Everything I have read and learned leads
me to believe that Bill probably does have PD and that to take one dose of
Sinemet CR daily is insufficient. The Sinemet CR tablet normally lasts 4-6
hours depending on the stage of the PD. A more normal starting treatment
would be a smaller dosage two to three times a day and then reassess.

It may be difficult for you where you are now, but could you not seek the
opinion of 2nd neurologist - sombody specialising in PD?

You did well to join the group, it is the second best thing for people with
PD - after Sinemet.

Good luck, keep in touch, .... and let us know how you get on.
