Hi All,

For those of you who are subscribers to AOL (if anyone is left---well,
someone must be left since the AOL lines are always busy :( ):

This just came from an AOL Help Letter. I haven't had a chance to look a=
t
the site--since it is so difficult to get online with AOL--but if you hav=
e
the good fortune of getting online, give it a try and let us know if it i=
s
helpful.

AOL=92S DRUG REFERENCE GUIDE:=20
ALMOST AS GOOD AS A LIVE-IN PHARMACIST

What do you know about the drugs a doctor prescribes for you? Have you b=
een
given a new prescription and are concerned that it might interact with ot=
her
drugs you take? AOL's Drug Reference library can help answer these
questions. It=92s like having a pharmacist on-call 24 hours a day.

To find the guide, go to keyword: DRUG REFERENCE. This will take you to =
the
Consumer Reports Comparative Drug Reference. You'll see a space to enter =
the
name of the drug you want to look up -- by its generic or brand name. Si=
mply
type in the name and then click the LOOK UP button.

The drug reference guide will give you lots of important information abou=
t
the medication you=92re taking. It=92ll also help you understand any spe=
cial
precautions that should be taken when using the medication. The referenc=
e
shows a list of possible drug interactions and side effects -- if you're =
on
any other kind of medication (even over-the-counter drugs like aspirin or
cold remedies!) be sure to read this section carefully.=20

Of course, you should always address any concerns about your health and
medications with your doctor, but the AOL Drug Reference will help make y=
ou a
more informed and smarter patient.
