There was a segment involving this drug just this evening on the NY news. It's supposed to be an excellent antidepressant but one should never go off it "cold turkey." The effects can include suicidal tendencies unless the patient is weaned slowly. (Wasn't paying full attention but the story was about a doctor at a public facility in NY who took a 17 year old girl off it all at once who then hung herself. What apparently made it newsworthy was the discovery that the doctor had been convicted of manslaughter in 1964 for botching an illegal abortion, the patient died, so he dismembered her body and stuffed it down the sewer in front of his house. The jail or hospital or whatever it was knew of his past and hired him anyway. So now the lawyers go to work.)
