I too am new to this list. My 80-year-old father was diagnosed with PD about
7-8 years ago. His condition is worsening. Hallucinations, sleep problems,
agitation. His mobility seems to be ok but, mentally, that's another story.
It is so depressing and frustrating to see him that way during the few hours a
week that I visit. I can't imagine what my poor mother (also 80) is feeling.
I don't think that she's getting any help from the doctor's office. But then
again, my mom's not one to complain and probably is too proud to ask at the
neurologist's office for support group and other information to ease her
through this experience. I am close to tears when I think of what she is going
through and I need to get her some help.

Does anyone on this list live in the Western New York area (preferably the
northern suburbs of Buffalo)? Can anyone provide me with information about how
to get my mom the help that she deserves?
