My doctor dismissed my change in scalp characteristics as a normal parallel
with my ageing (I'm 52 and 2 yrs. diagnosed) But my experience is that the
heavy production of sloughed skin below my hair (scalp) started around the
time of most of my 5 or 6 other pre-diagnosed symptoms. I can wash my hair
and within 6 hours the scalp has produced enough sloughed skin to be
noticeable. My scalp is oily so I have what you might call 'crust', only when
my head is very dry, but never the less, it is an abnormal production of the
scalp.
