Hi Brian, Annoyed? Who? Me. What ever gave you that idea? Come on Brian, you know as well as I do that we PWP are placid, gentle, sweet natured creatures, with a predesposition to co-operation. But seriously folks Brian - As you say: ---------- > However the plasma > concentration depends on the accumulated sum of the 'bits' of levodopa in the > transport system at any point in time, and that is governed by the rate at > which the drug enters the bloodstream ( minus the rate at which it enters > the brain). But - each 'bit' is decaying exponentially. With regard to "the rate at which it enters the brain" which of these positions is supported by your figures to date? 1. The amount of levadopa crossing the barrier is a constant percentage of the levadopa available in the blood plasma, or 2. The percentage of levadopa crossing the barrier increases (or possibly even decreases) as levadopa concentrations increase. If the later, 'curiouser and curiouser' as Alice once said. Welcome back to the debate (which is more in the form of a discussion) Dennis. ++++++++++++++++++++ Dennis Greene 47/10 [log in to unmask] ++++++++++++++++++++
