INKSHED 14: Reading Technologies
The 14th Annual Working Conference of the Canadian Association for the Study
of Language and Learning held at YMCA Geneva Park, Orillia, Ontario
Thursday, May 1, 1996 to Sunday, May 4, 1996
YMCA Geneva Park is just 90 minutes north of Toronto on the east shore of
Lake Couchiching, and close to the city of Orillia. It is located on a 150
acre peninsula with almost 3 kilometres of shoreline. YMCA Geneva Park
describes itself as "the ideal combination of efficiency and relaxation - a
place where learning and idea-sharing can happen in quiet friendly
surroundings."
Check in at the Park is 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 1. We anticipate eating
dinner on Thursday night at 7, followed by an orienting session at
approximately 8:30.
If you indicate below that you will be arriving by plane, we will be in touch
with you later about when and where you will be picked up at Pearson Airport.
If you're coming by car, and could help transport some people to the Park,
please let us know.
On Sunday, following a lunch together, we will be leaving Geneva Park at
approximately 1 p.m. and, for those requiring air transportation, arriving at
Pearson Airport approximately an hour and a half later.
Conference registration fee: $25.00 (grad students/underemployed)
$50.00 (employed)
Accommodations: $310.80 (double occupancy)
(for three nights,

room,meals, taxes, $420.90 (single occupancy)
and gratuities)
