The decay in flow begins at the full-flow level, and it is literally all down- hill from that point. To continue the military analogy; the soldiers (just the remnants of what was a steady stream of them) arrive at the parade ground, and are just starting to relax, thinking that it's all over, when that nice Sergeant Major chappie reminds them that they haven't finished the course yet: there is still the assault course to be completed, otherwise known as the Blood /Brain barrier. This involves crawling through narrow pipes, so narrow that they have to abandon their Carbidopa flak jackets and carry on without them. Hey - I am beginning to enjoy this military analogy. Maybe its time they locked me up, but I think our more talented writers could turn the journey of the Sinemet from mouth to brain into an epic story to rival Ben Hur, Laurel & Hardy join the Foreign Legion, and similar great stories. Anyway, perhaps now you can see that rather than a build-up, the parade ground just gets quieter and quieter, until the next tablet comes along. Actually, this makes the point quite nicely; that if you don't want to gp through an Off period, you need to take the next tablet BEFORE the last tablet has finished its work, so that it can get through the digestive system, and as the above tailing-off begins, it is offset by a corresponding build-up of Sinemet from the next tablet.
