Keeping off L-Dopa for as long as possible has been my strategy for the
past five years, based on my early readings, some excellent
YAPP&RS seminars, discussions with other early onset Parkinson
sufferers and last but not least this list.My consultants don't disagree
and to be honest I dread the thought of the potential side effects. Which
is worse; stop or go??

But now the tremor is getting worse; holding a cup of tea in work meetings
is "challenging" [I can't cock my little finger :-))] and stand up fork
buffets are a "nightmare" [How do you hold the plate, the glass attached
to the side, and eat? Answer : I don't :-(( ]. And writing on a white
board? No chance! And my speech is getting quieter and the mind getting
slower, I think ?

So! Do I go for this "miracle cure", which may have no serious side
effects for 5 - 10 - longer(?) years. Will I recover my confidence and
standing at work? It is my choice, I'm in control ;-)

Answers on a postcard to me :-))

Best wishes to you all
