Hi Janet, If your Dad likes gardening and walking I bet he'd enjoy a nice comfortable chair in front of a big window with a view. We have enjoyed hours of bird watching in our back yard. We have set up feeders and a bird house. Last year we had a couple of fenches move in and raise two sets of babies. We even bought a book on bird identification to keep track of all the varieties of birds we attracted.It's a year around hobby that takes little energy and brings great pleasure. Gail Vass
