I haven't been able to find a lot of information that explains the differences in early diagnosis of Parkinson's that distinguishes it from things like ALS and MSA. Does anyone on this list have this sort of information? When I asked my mom's doctor about the possibility of her having MSA, I think (if I remember this correctly) he said that her symptoms appearing on only her left side helped him determine that she has PD.
