A couple items of modest disagreement here. First, we should both write
AND call. Second, in our effort to get Sen. Kyl to join Sen. McCain in
co-sponsoring Udall we are obtaining many multi-signature "form" letters
signed by people who would otherwise not have written or called. I believe
it IS useful to write and send in "form" letters under these conditions,
and follow-up with a call a few days later, asking if the letter had been
received and if the Senator is now ready to come on board. Most to McCain
were "form" letters, and staff paid attention!
