When I read this the first time I was shocked and outraged at the
Doctor. I wanted to sit down and froth at the mouth about the subject.
However I had to leave my apartment on business, and had seversl hours
to think about what you wrote.

The largest single dose of Hytrin manufactured is 10 Mg.
The largest reccomended ADULT dose is 20 Mg.
The manufacturers literature and every other source I have seen dictates
that the initial dose be 1 Mg and that the patient gradually increase
the dosage until the reccomended dosage is reached. Furthermore, no
matter what dosage is being taken, a missed dose requires that the
patient start all over again at 1 Mg and work back up to the proper
dosage all over again.

If your father took 500 Mg of Hytrin, he swallowed FIFTY 10 Mg pills!

I cannot concieve of a Doctor writing such an Rx, or a Pharmacist
dispencing it!

If I have misread your message please enlighten me. I would really like
to know as I take sinemet CR, selegeline and Hytrin along with my
Inderal.
