My wife was diagnosed with PD 2 years ago. Since then, she is on
medication but feels getting worse. Her doctor says that her symptom is
still light and he gives her weak medication. She wonders if a brain
surgery is a effective treatment to stopping her progress. Her doctor
does not necessarily recommend her to do it for there is not enough data
and cases to verify the effectiveness of the surgery. Is there anyone who
can answer to the following. questions;
        - Is the surgery effective?
        - Is there any risk and side effect of the surgery?
        - Is it true that surgery is effective when performed in early stage of
PD?
Thanks in advance.
