For those who are interested in Pallidal Stimulation and other surgical
treatments for PD, and who live in or near Kansas or Missouri, the annual
symposium will include Dr. Steven Wilkinson, the neurosurgeon who performs
the pallidal stimulations and pallidotomies, as well as thalamic stimulations
and thalamotomies, at the University of Kansas Medical Center:

On Thursday, April 24, the National Parkinson Foundation  and the Parkinson
Association of Greater Kansas City will sponsor the Parkinson Symposium XIII.
 It will take place from 9 a.m. till noon at the Hyatt Regency Hotel - Crown
Center, Kansas City, Missouri.
