Dear Patricia, The new drug, Pramipexole is a new agonist, which I believe is supposed to stimulate the D2 dopamine receptors. It is unlike the other agonists Permax and Parlodel which stimulate both the D1 and D2, and just the D1, respectively. This is my understanding. Jacob
