To all who asked: 1. MIRAPEX is the brand name for Pramipexole, which has been approved by the FDA but not yet available from the mfg. This drug is a dopamine agonist which has a higher affinity for a different receptor site than the currently available agonists. The hope is that it will be more effective than the current agonists. 2. Sinamet is almost a diagnostic for PD. That is virtually all PD patients will respond to Sinamet within 2 or 3 days. If you haven't yet responded after 3 days-you probably don't have PD. (Notice that I said probably, not surely) Jerry Starr, RPh
