Hello Gail, I am aware that Parlodel is still prescribed by a lot of doctors.
This is probably a testament to the innate conservatism of many doctors.

Looking back on it, and accepting that it did behave as advertised as
far as taking some of the load off the Sinemet, there have been altogether
too many reports of Hallucinations, Personality change, Paranioa etc.
   Now that there are quite a crowd of alternative Dopamine agonists, there
seems little point in carrying on with such a high risk factor. The later
alternatives appear to be much less likely to suffer psychological side
effects.

P.S. :-You may well receive a few posts from people who find Parlodel
to be fine, and (say ) Permax  (Pergolide) to be unacceptable . A survey
did demonstrate that thos was a minority group however.
