UpJohn, with a skillful bit of timing, chose World Parkinson's day to launch Cabaser onto the UK market. (Perhaps better knowm to us as Cabergoline). Cabaser's main claim to fame is that it has a long 'half life', so that a one tablet per day uptake is possible. Other than that, Cabaser is another Dopamine Agonist, to join the list which now includes:- Bromocriptine (Parlodel) Pergolide (Celanse, Permax) Lisuride (Revanil) Ropinirole (ReQuip) Pramipexole In a move which appears to be solely to limit the range of alternatives and thus keep the price well up, I gather that Cabaser is not to be released on the US Market, and in exchange, Pramipexole is not to be released on the UK market. Maybe the conspiracy theorists are not so far out! -- Brian Collins <[log in to unmask]>
