Having had Parkinson's for 13 years, I've learned not to overreact to
media hype and I agree with Eddie Luther " There's too much hype on
this one"
I just got back from my doctor ( he specializes in PD ) and he made some
good points.
#1 PD does not occur naturally in rats or primates( which are used in
these first tests), it must be artificially induced.
This is not true parkinsonism.
#2 Deprynel can have similar results in this kind of induced
"parkinsonism" in animals, but we know it does not have this kind of
result in humans.
It is not my intention to discourage any one, I know many of you are
hurting ; but let's
wait and see.
There are some good things on the horizon. Four new drugs this year and
some
things going on in Europe.
