Slow down, Billy. Shooting from the hip you have missed the
point. I did not advocate spending NO money on defence. I
suggested that EVERY nation spend less on war and more on
peace (incidentally this would include the Germans and the
Japanese). You are, of course, right in deploring the debts
that are being passed on to the next generation, but I wander
if you are serious in suggesting that it is medical research that
should be scrapped in order to keep the books balanced.
I for one, would like to live in a world where:
My country was not investing in overkill
My country was investing in the health of this
and future generations
My countries enemies were not investing in
overkill
My countries enemies were investing in the
health of this and future generations
A cure had been found for xenophobia
I have personal experience of both war and PD. I would hate my
kids or theirs to experience either.
