To access the Parkinson's Chat Channel you first of all need the appropriate terminal software for accessing the IRC. Two popular ones are Pirch and mIRC. The software includes installation instructions. When you have installed the program, go to the server address field. Both programs will already have server URLs loaded in. Select any server on the UNDERNET (one of five nets on IRC). Once you are logged in you will be on a single line input window. Enter (without the quotes) "/j parkinsons" and you will be connected with the Parkinsons Chat Channel. There might be a delay in people answering you because of transmission delays. If the time is too great, just exit out and try a different server. Hope to see you on the net.
