Don B... I'm going to go ahead and get the collagen injections before my daughter's May 25 wedding, but would prefer to have Kaiser do what is medically considered to be a very "routine" procedure since it'd be fully covered by my being a Kaiser member. But that May 25th window is approaching and I'm seriously considering popping for the injections and just saying "to hell with the cost!" It drives me CRAZY (no comments from the peanut gallery, please, 'bout my already BEING that) <grin> to have people constantly saying "what" to me as I speak. I USED to have a marvelous speaking voice (and USED to have lovely handwriting too... when is an injection or something gonna be available for THAT, huh?) and USED to do a lot of public speaking... HEY.. how 'bout an injection, say, every 3 months that'd promise a good nite's sleep with no hangover? One that'd give the Parkie quick reactions? One that..... oh well, I'd better stop while I'm ahead. <smile> I'll report back to the List when I have the collagen injections to let ya all know what it was like (presuming I'm a likely candidate for them, of course) and the results. I went to my local support group and discovered that one of the men in my group had had the procedure last Friday with very good results. Before he talked in little more than a whisper and now he could be easily heard. I, too, am thinking about investigating this procedure for there are times particularly late at night when my voice is lacking in volume. Don Berns
