Marjorie M... Hmmm... you're a Southpaw? Me too! I'm amazed, what with all the informal polling our group has done over the years that no one's checked to see the ratio of individuals with PD who're left-handed, compared to those who're right-handed. With lefts making up a solid 10 per cent of the world's population on a consistent basis since written records were started, it might be interesting (and it might not be) if there was an inordinate number of Parkies who were lefties. BTW... I did a speech for my Toastmaster's, Intl. group years ago about left-handedness.. And amongst other things I researched, that 10 per cent figure is just one of the interesting facts I found out about my fellow southpaws. OTHER interesting facts (well, to ME, anyway) <grin> are 70 per cent of that 10 per cent are artistically creative genius'' (ME, ME, ME!!), the remaining 30 per cent write computer manuals (JUST KIDDING) <giggle>, over 50 per cent of the famous generals across time have been left-handed, there are two types of lefties... with that 70 per cent being artistic, and the rest being a mixed bag of mathematical, analytical, and "just plain folks" by nature. More lefties have cats than dogs.. WHO in the world ever researched this kind of fact in the first place, and why didn't they ever do a research project on left-handedness and Parkinson's or other major diseases? Ivan, I do have a relative who is near and dear to me who suffers terribly with Diabetes, however, he is my husband. So I guess that really doesn't make him a relative at all!!! At least not in the sense you are meaning.<G> In blood relatives, no, there is no diabetes, alcoholism nor anyone else with PD. I'm also the only left-handed one in the whole extended family. Brian, Why don't you send me a .bmp and lets see how it works. Sometimes when you unzip things you have to go under VIEW, zoom-out and print it off. Lets get it right for everyone. Thanks, Marjorie Moorefield <[log in to unmask]>
