Karen... I'm a Southpaw.. totally left-handed. Always have been... and the PD was only on my right side (thank God!) up until we had the Jan. 17, 1994 Northridge Earthquake, in Los Angeles (I live about 1 mile from Northridge). Within hours after the quake, I noticed a bit of a tremor in my left arm, which was the first symptoms of the disease in the then 19 years I'd had PD. The symptoms on the left side almost entirely cleared up when I had the unilateral pallidotomy ON the left side of my brain for the right side's PD symptoms as did the symptoms on the right side (they're GONE in the right side). If you're a lefty and you have a tremor, did your tremor start in the left hand? Just curious to see if there is any correlation... Best to all, Rita V.B 76/13yr.
