It is a sad case, to be sure. I think that the gradual re-institution of levodopa is a good idea; but if it does not work, perhaps the patient might be a candidate for surgical treatment. Although I think that pallidotomy is an "over-promoted" procedure these days, she may be a candidate. Are there any good neurosurgeons in Australia doing this surgery now?
