Jackie, I'm sure your father sits for a minute or so before trying to stand up. That helps. Also I'm sure your MD has done complete blood work to rule out anemia and EEGs (brain wave tests) to rule out any petit mal seizure activity, or other neuro studies like CAT or MRI test to rule out other brain disorders.
