A number of people on this list have e-mailed me requesting info on ordering our new pin. We do have 5,000 available and can fill orders, however there is a catch! From a logistics point of view, we don't have an admin person to do this, so it falls upon me to do so, but I work full time and am a caregiver for my wife, so I can't fill onesy and twosy orders ( but read on), I hope you will understand. Our Atlanta support group board of directors had planned to make these pins widely available even before there was much talk on this list about pins. We started the design process back in December and obtained the first pins about a month ago. Initially we planned to offer them only to Georgia Parkinson's groups, but your interest expands our horizons. The board has agreed to make the pins available to any Parkinson Group for $1 each, but in a minimum quantity of 100. Your organization could then either give them away or ask for a donation for Parkinson's research. We are also offering these pins to individuals for a donation of $5 or more for each pin with a minimum order of 5. This is to cut down on our admin costs. For the time being we can only take orders from US locations and in US funds. If you want to order for your organization (minimum 100) send a check from your organization. For those who would like individual pins (minimum of 5) a personal check is ok. We will pay postage. All checks should be made payable to "APDA, Atlanta Chapter" and sent to me at the following address: Carl Miller P. O. Box 11683 Atlanta, GA 30355-1683 For those who haven't seen my original message the pin is described again below: It is a cloisonne pin 3/4" square with a red sunburst on the horizon on a green background, bordered in gold. At the top of the sunburst in gold letters "Find The Cure" and below the sunburst "PARKINSON'S".
