Dennis and all you computer buffs out there, Is it at all possible to establish a web page where PWP's could enter answers to straw poll questions. We have such a large data base on the list and it seems we could do some valuable research, if we were able to access a web page and enter yes or no to a list of questions. I realize that it would not be any more scientific than our current method of posting to the list, but having a larger number of answers might show some definite patterns. I have been curious about PD always beginning on one side. Why does it differ from person to person? Wouldn't it be logical for PD to affect everyone on their dominant side (or on their non-dominant side)? Yet that doesn't seem to be the case. Do most lefties with PD presenting on their right sides have similar symptoms? Are they different from lefties with PD presenting on their left sides? Do their symptoms differ from those of right-handed people? Does PD in young onset patients progress more slowly than it does in elderly patients? Are PD symptoms worse when you endulge too heavily in caffeine or chocolate? There are so many things I'd like to know. I hope someone with more computer skills than I have, will let me know if a web page for the purpose of gathering statistics is at all possible. As to the recent requests for statistical info: I had a maternal grandmother with late onset diabetes, a cousin (maternal) with early onset diabetes and at least one of my cousin's children had juvenile diabetes. I have never smoked. I can't remember the other questions. (Is forgetfulness a common PD symptom?) Mary Sheehan
