Camilla, >About the need for the national organizations >to get their act together and find unity ... I couldn't agree more with you regarding the need for unity in the PD community. But we can't just sit around waiting for the directors of the organizations to unite; we, the PWPs and CGs, have to make our voices heard on the subject. In New York City, we're having our 4th Annual Parkinson's UNITY Walk on September 27th. (Our name says it all.) Each year, we have obtained the endorsement of all the national organizations, and the money we raise is distributed to all of them. We haven't yet convinced them to unite, but at least for one day a year we have symbolic unity. While we would love to have everyone on the List come to New York to join us (can you imagine such a gathering?), we know it isn't possible. But grass-roots efforts in other parts of the country are possible. It takes a lot of effort to stage an event like a walk, but it is doable. For those who are interested in joining us or getting more information, you can reach us by e-mail ([log in to unmask]), or phone (212-580-6505) or fax (212-496-8639). - Margot Zobel
