Hi Barb and other members on the Parkinsn list. Thank you for the welcome message, Barb. I am 65 years old, retired, and ended my career with Engen (was Mobil Oil) as one of the project engineers at their Head Office in Cape Town. I live in Stellenbosch, which is famous for its wine production, and is approx 60 Km from Cape Town. My wife, Judy, is or was, a professional botanist. We have shared an interest in wine as a hobby for 25 years. I have started a small business selling specialised wine pumps to wine farmers. A close friend of mine has been diagnosed as having Parkinson's Disease, and has had ups and downs in his treatment. We have been good friends for a period of 61 years. He does not have a computer, and so cannot access e-mail. I have decided to join the list, to be able to pass on to him various thoughts, experiences, and possible new treatments that might develop from time to time.
